Igor Starkov

Born in 1980 in Leningrad, now St. Petersburg, Russia. Graduated from the Vocational School of Mechanics & Optics as a photographer in 2000, then worked for a photo lab of the State Russian Museum where he mostly did studio photography. From 2002 to 2004, studied at the School of Photojournalism in St. Petersburg. In 2005, joined the newly created Russian agency - Photographer.Ru. From 2007 to 2009 cooperated with the austrian Anzenberger agency. At present he is a freelance photographer.

Worked in Belarus, Ukraine, Central Russia, Caucasus, Urals, Siberia, Central Asia. Participated in a number of exhibition and book projects. Publications include: Colors, Esquire, GQ, YO Dona, Afisha, Bolshoi Gorod, Wirtschafts Woche, Newsweek (usa, int, jp, rus), Le Monde, The Chronicle of Higher Education, Park Avenue, Expert, Ogoniok, etc
